Mike Kosciuk, FSA, EA, FCA, MAAA

Mike Kosciuk is a Consultant in GRS’ Southfield, Michigan office.  He has more than 18 years of professional experience, which includes 10 years of actuarial and benefits consulting experience. Prior to becoming an actuary, Mike taught high school mathematics for 9 years.

Mike has served local government and statewide public employee retirement systems and OPEB plan sponsors in Delaware, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Virginia.

His primary responsibilities include the preparation of actuarial valuations for pension and retiree health plans. Mike’s actuarial consulting expertise also covers experience studies, cash flow projections, premium development, present value calculations, and cost analyses of proposed plan changes. With respect to pension plan administration, Mike coordinates the preparation of benefit calculations and statements. In this capacity, he supervises the work of Senior Analysts and peer reviews final results prior to client delivery.
